One of the highlights of Poker in the Park this year was the British Poker Awards, held on the PokerStars.co.uk Main Stage. Hosted by comedian Lucy Porter and Bluff’s very own Michael Caselli, it was not merely an exercise in honouring the heroes of a fantastic year in British poker, but we also raised money for Peace and Sport (www.peace-sport.org) through a charity auction of signed Barcelona, Arsenal and England rugby shirts. A big thanks to Mr Roland De Wolfe who bid very generously indeed and is now the proud owner of a £2k Barcelona shirt.

Special mention goes to Jake Cody, who won Best Tournament Player and Player of the Year, John Duthie (Best Contribution to Poker) The Loose Cannon’s Roy Houghton (Lifetime Achievement Award) and also to Neil Channing (Best Blog), just because we know how much he loves winning awards.
